The project is a new erection of a 2.5 storey semi-detached house at Moreton Close. The land area is 400sqm and built-up area is 650sqm.
The spatial strategy for a semi-circular house reminiscing “Half Moon” is born out of a difficult triangular site. It creates the dynamism, geometry and composition of the house.
The owner’s fondness of koi fish leads to the idea of a continuous semi-circular shape koi pond around the house, making the house seems to float on water.
The intersection of the curve master room wing and the guestrooms wing creates an interesting incidental circulation space in which, a center-piece suspended sculptural curve staircase is created.
